The 'Illusion' of Freedom will continue, just as long as it is profitable to continue The Illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will simply, take down all of the scenery, they will draw back all of the curtains, they will move out of the way all of the tables and the chairs, and then you will see nothing left, but the dark, thick, brick wall, looking out at you at the back of the theater.' - Frank Zappa"

"everything is a shadow of the real. sex is the shadow of love, a man is a shadow of God. existence itself, is a shadow of life. all the combined knowledge of men are but a shadow of the truth. how do i deal with this agnostic state of being......Faith"

Perfect peace is acceptance and knowledge by belief. Acceptance of rights and wrongs and belief in God's provision. If a perfect man (Christ being my ensample) can accept injustice (having all power in His hand), how is it that I cannot (vanity)? I find it a remarkable thing that my avoidance of pain IS the cause of my pain (mental/spiritual anguish). Acceptance however, delivers me from this death (and all things short of it), nullifying it's power over me. By contrast, attempted avoidance and/or disassociation (i.e. nonacceptance), is a million deaths, from which there is no return. With acceptance there is also a death, but of a thing that impedes all serenity; which is vanity. But with this death there is renewal and rebirth, because the impediment to acceptance has been removed. The fire of circumstance has a refining potential if the dross of vanity is removed, returning to the purified silver of perfect peace forevermore.
